Rednecks on a Train

Big plans this weekend. Micki is coming up from south Georgia. We are spending Saturday night terrorizing her brother and his band at a local club and then Sunday night we will be with Kenny Chesney, Dierks Bentley and, if there is a higher power in charge of my life, Uncle Kracker will also show up. Someone may want to start feeding Mr. Chesney his vitamins now....he's going to need them. ;)

This is a weekend of firsts for me. This is the first concert I've seen at Phillips Arena. And, for the first time in 11+ years, I will actually ride the Atlanta rail system, aka Marta (slogan: ride Marta, it's smarta....no I'm not kidding). It should be an experience to say the least. I'm not so worried about the ride in as I am the ride home....2 half-plastered redneck women on a train. If no one ends up nekkid or in police custody it will be a good night. lol. Seriously, if it goes well I may actually venture downtown more often.

I'm sure I'll have much to tell on Monday. Have a great weekend!

MARTA is kind of fun - the rails, anyway. I haven't ridden the bus, but Stiltwalker doesn't make it sound like much fun.

Grant - Yeah...I've used bus systems in other cities and it's not my favorite form of transportation...too slow. The rail seems to be pretty fast, I can get from Chamblee to 5 points in 20 minutes. I was pretty impressed by that fact.

7 - Save a horse, ride a cowboy ;)

Cakes - I forgot you were on vacation. Have a great week, sweetie! I'm counting down the days until mine!!!

JD - Sure!!! You think if I make my one phone call to the 1-800 Army number and ask for the cute pilot with the nice ass, they'll know who I mean????? ;)

JD - Let me guess, 1-800-TITTIES? ;) Much love, sweetie. I'll be thinking about you while I'm spilling my beer on some unsuspecting soul!

Kira - Getting nekkid with men = good. Standing nekkid and alone on a MARTA train = bad. Getting nekkid with a man on a MARTA train = Excellent. Seeing the theme here?

OK, after that remark to Kira, I'm driving to Atlanta and will ride Marta all night long looking for a couple of drunk chicks naked on the trains....

(1) If Chesney is performing, does he really need vitamins? He ain't climbing Mt. Kilamanjaro.

(2) A friend of mine who lives in Atlanta is bumming because she's a big Chesney fan, and she can't see them because she's off to her family reunion out in the Great Plains.

(3) I knew a woman name Marta. Everybody rode her.

Poet - Don't take it personally, it's an acronym. :)

Gary - Sunday night....if you see a guy in a flight suit, say hello to JD, he'll be cruising MARTA for nekkid hotties too. lol.

X - Hon, I don't care if he makes it through the stage show...he needs the vitamins for me ;) Sorry to hear about your friend, I'll take pics. Really sorry to hear about Marta....well, I guess that depends on whether she was any good or not....DOH!

Angie - Hope you have fun! I gave my sister two tickets to Cinderella & Poison. She's an 80's Big Hair Band freak. Today she missed work and is complaining that the lights her house are too bright and that her kids are picking on her! LOL, her hubby was there to pull her off the stage!

Have fun and regale us with stories esp. of the return trip :)

A few slogans...
Ride an Horse, What could be worse?

Ride our bus, Everyone does.

Take a bike, better than a hike.
