A New Addition

Well, it finally happened. The last person in the world finally got an ipod...me!

I had to go with the green...it was calling my name. I really enjoy working out with it but I've learned a few things.... while it is possible to dance to Prince while on the elliptical machine, it's not really recommended and I have to resist the urge to sing as people tend to look at you like you have 3 eyes if you're singing "Play that Funky Music" while lifting weights....err, that may have just been my singing.

I'm in dire need of some new work out tunes... anyone have suggestions? Keep in mind, I listen to everything from Alicia Keys to Poison, so all suggestions will be taken into consideration. The more it makes you want to shake your booty, the better.

lol, Cakes...I'm usually pretty open to different styles of music but when Vanilla Ice hits my iPod, it will be a sign that the apocolypse is nearing.

I used to work out with my I-Pod and loved it. For Christmas I was given an I-Pod shuffle which is ideal for working out. I like it even better except you cannot pre-select a song or playlist. Still, if you like everything you put on it...its all good. Cool green color!

So THAT's why Apple stock shot through the roof on Monday! (Kidding.) Now that you have an iPod, check out "Nike Sport Music" on iTunes. Workout music pre-mixed for you, or, at the very least, giveing you ideas on what to mix for yourself.

don't have any ideas. i think its kinda cool that you use your Ipod when working out. I used one to run with once I didn't have a running partner. I had to watch the beat of the music i played because i would run to the beat and sometimes i would run too fast... 4 miles was all i could do on my lunch.. lost 30 lbs that way and got down to 190...

7 - I can see why you'd like the shuffle. Personally, I'm a playlist addict as my song preference changes with my moods (hmmm, that may say a lot when translated to my love life, lol).

SJ - They are! I hear myself sing in the shower all the time...it's perfect! I don't know why people run screaming in the other direction when they hear it!

Rick - THAT would be the reason! Thanks for the tip...it did provide some great ideas.

Gary - Yep, I find that to be an issue too. Next thing I know I look down and the heart rate monitor is flashing "slow down before you give yourself a heart attack!".

I think I am the only American left on the planet that DOESN'T have one of those!!! Argh!!!

I LOVE to treadmill to "Evanescence"...that hard angry music really gets me going!

Medwyn Goodalls stuff is pretty good...especially his native american drum stuff...excellent to run to! My favorite is his CD "King Shaman".

They have iPods programmed to whisper "Angie?" Do they others that call out different names? Or does an iPod simply know everyone's name?
